Technical Support Specialist
LP Services – Vance, Al

Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision, this position supports assembly management. Assist assembly production with reporting and data analysis. Provide support with scheduling as well as problem solving and presentations regarding assembly information, statistics, milestones, and overall status.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain key documents and databases for assembly related topics.
  • Compile data from different sources to create pareto and trend charts to track overtime, safety, and cost on a monthly basis.
  • Track and forecast the department’s key statistical data in regard to cost, manpower, and travel. Investigate and analyze deviations, and research discrepancies for resolution.
  • Assist and manage independently assigned tasks that will require investigation, developing countermeasures, documenting action plans, and providing countermeasure effectiveness.
  • Assist or perform analysis as it relates to detect failures in the product quality check or building process of the vehicle independently or in conjunction with other support groups such as Quality. (EX. Problem-solving, corrective action tools, etc.)
  • Utilize tracking tools to identify top concerns in relation to product quality, safety, cost, manpower or building process of the vehicle. (Ex. electronic and/or white board tracking)
  • Use problem-solving systems to evaluate resolution effectiveness.

Education: Associates of Arts/Science Degree or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting a supervisory function in an administrative role and experience with vehicle and/or automotive process in a quality department setting.

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:

  • Experience in supporting managers with calendar management and travel arrangements, budget tracking, and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, to format high level presentations and Word documents.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of management, executive/senior staff

Preferred Skills: German language proficiency

KVP Shop Machinist
Purpose of the Position: Design and creation of tools, jigs, gages, and fixtures in conjunction with Engineers, EVS, and Production in order to solve problems.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage tools, jigs, and fixturaes needed for production and/or testing purposes.
  • Design and create tools, jigs, and fixtures based on need from Production line.
  • Prioritize orders from different departments in order to support the production line and satisfy its customers.
  • Manage tools, jigs, and fixtures set up in central stores as spare parts for the production line.
  • Source and gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials from outside vendors.
  • Must be able to produce quality work in order to adequately solve production problems that improve quality of the production process.
  • Solve problems using innovative materials
  • Determine with best solution for a problem using CNC machinery or 3D printer

Marginal Functions: Assist Engineers with best material selection when solving problems. Assist EVS with tooling design. Support miscellaneous machining topics. Program/operate 3D printer, clean 3D printed parts, order new parts when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education: Associates Degree/Certificate in Machine Tool Technology or CNC Technology

Experience: 5 year experience in CNC programming and CAM software use; experience as primary machinist in machine shop or other environment where machining is required and tooling is managed

Logistics Ramp Up Support
LP Services – Vance, Al

Job Description: Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for the body shop logistics planning ramp up. Dedicated deliveries planned for the different quality gates and trial phases which needs to be coordinated and tracked from the supplier via staging until the delivery to the point of installation. Daily tracking of incoming deliveries, Part levels and scheduling of delivery and cars will be the daily business as well as preparing the information on management slides.

Project Scope:

Part tracking body shop ramp-up logistics

  • Manage Supplier Releases through model year and engineering changes to minimize obsolesce.
  • Tracking of orderings during the ramp up with continuously communication with supplier and logistics service provider as well as logistics to schedule deliveries
  • Scheduling of pick-ups and deliveries with transportation
  • Track and communicate to cross-functional teams all expedites until fully received.
  • Monitor and correct all advance shipping notices transmissions.
  • Provide on-site supplier training with emphasis on material releases and inventory control requirements.
  • Assist in the investigation of inventory and receipt discrepancies.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies through problem-solving methodologies with cross-functional teams.
  • Review internal database for daily impact; provide feedback, request and analyze root-cause.
  • Provide input for supplier performance KPIs; request countermeasures to delivery issues.
  • Investigate, track, and disposition obsolete material.
  • Preparing of management overviews and status reports of current inventory and processes
  • Planning of delivery/supply chain processes


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Management areas or the equivalent combination of educations/or experience.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment in areas such as Engineering change control, Supply Chain Management or Production Control.

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:

Core Competencies

  • Must have a strong understanding of how functions affect manufacturing processes and production.
  • Must be able to create and analyze data to drive results.
  • Must be able to work and lead a cross-functional team
  • Must be self-motivating
  • Must have strong software skills in all MS office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

Advanced Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of SAP or comparative software.
  • Charting/Graphing
  • Creating and Presenting PowerPoint presentation
  • Automotive and Ramp-up experience

Preferred Skills:

  • German Language
  • Certification or working knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Ramp-up, Automotive industry, Material Control, Operational Management, Production, Inventory Control
